Midterm Break
How do we define Midterm Break? It was the most awaited break ever in our lives. Every GC counted days, first to proceed on midterm break and after the break was over, the Passing Out Parade (POP). The only aim in the OTS was to ‘just get out of this hell called OTS.’ Trains from Madras railway Station had carried coaches full of GCs to all corners of the country. GCs left Madras, singing and day dreaming and returned after a few days, frightened and withered! As we entered through the main gate of the School after getting back from our midterm break, our feet were heavy and we had to literally drag them to go in. We were back among bad people, DS, HIs. The tenure in the hell resumed with full blast, it was as if everyone waited for our return. They all got after us without losing any time after we got back.
"We won’t mind the heat if you sweat with us. We won’t mind the cold if you shiver with us. And when our cigarettes are gone, we won’t mind quitting smoking after your cigarettes are gone.
And if the mission requires, we will storm the very gates of hell, right behind you!"
