Adyar River
The snake meandering through the OTS premises. We, certainly all of us, associate Adyar River with the bathing beauties whom we used to watch during our Lecture cum Demos (LDs) and Tactical Exercises. Towards that end, binoculars issued to us by the Army were put to good use. We would snatch binoculars from one another and take turns to see local women folk washing clothes and bathing in Adyar. Adyar was good! Our initial LDs and some of the exercises were organized along this river. Even our cross country route passed over this water channel. Some of our nights were spent under the sky along this water body.
"Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes - every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man."
